Project : Commissioning and Management Contract VHA Global has won an international tender to commission and operate the Sharjah Teaching Hospital.
This appointment was made after the personal representative of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, conducted an 11-month global quest to determine the most appropriate contracting model and the hospital operator best qualified to implement it. This hospital is to be opened in 2008 initially as a 200 bed hospital but eventually bed number will increase to 350 beds. The full commissioning team commenced on site in February 2007 after conducting pre-commissioning reviews of the architectural and medical equipping plans during the previous nine months.
