Premier Brumby Visits VHA Global Office in Sharjah Print E-mail

The Premier of the State of Victoria, Australia, The Honourable John Brumby MP, visited VHA Global’s office in the University of Sharjah’s Medical and Health Sciences College on 10th February 2008. It was his second visit to the office. He previously visited it in May 2007 as State Treasurer.
The visit commenced with an inspection of the construction site of Sharjah Teaching Hospital accompanied by VHA Global’s hospital management team and Australia’s Ambassador to the UAE, Jeremy Bruer, was also on hand.

Prof. Stan Capp – CEO of Sharjah Teaching Hospital said for the Victorian State Government:
“There is great support for the work that VHA Global is undertaking in Sharjah. The presence of The Victoria Premier in this his second visit here reflects his commitment to sharing Victoria’s quality and innovation expertise in international settings. We acknowledge and appreciate this support”.

 

Following this, Premier Brumby met His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al-Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah in the Main Building of the Medical and Health Sciences College of University of Sharjah in the presence of Dr. Amr Abdel-Hamid, Special Advisor of the Ruler of Sharjah, Dr. Ismail Mohammed Al Bishri, Chancellor of University of Sharjah, Prof. Hossam Hamdy, Vice Chancellor for Medical & Health Sciences Colleges & Dean, College of Medicine and other distinguished guests.

Sheikh Mohamed and Premier Brumby then proceeded to the Victorian International School in Sharjah for an official opening of the Junior School, followed by a lunch ceremony at His Highness’ the Ruler’s Office at Cultural Square. Guests included Prof. Stan Capp – CEO of Sharjah Teaching Hospital, Don Kay, Chairman of VHA Global and the VHA Global Management Teams from Sharjah Teaching Hospital and Al Qassimi Hospital.
